Welcome to the Fox Island Museum!

There are more than 3000 artifacts on display in Dioramas, Showcases, and free standing exhibits.  Among them is a display describing the life of former Governor Dr. Dixy Lee Ray, a Mosquito Fleet display, Indian artifacts, rotating exhibits, a reference room, farm room, Book Nook, and Museum Store.

  • Scholarship

    Attention Students, Families and Friends of 2024 Fox Island High School Graduates

    The Fox Island Historical Society (FIHS) Board of Directors is giving a $2,000 scholarship in 2024 in memory of Dr. George A. Weis. In addition, the Fox Island Chapel Preservation Society will award a $2,000 scholarship. These scholarships will recognize two well-qualified high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2024 to help finance a post-high school education beginning in the fall of 2024.  These applicants must be residents of Fox Island at the time of high school graduation. All rules, deadlines, and applications will be the same for both scholarships.

    The application link will open on April 1st and will remain open until midnight on May 1st, 2024.

  • Harbor WildWatch Presentation

    HARBOR WILDWATCH PRESENTATION

    OCTOPUS OF FOX ISLAND
    Saturday, April 20, 2024 1:00-3:30 PM

    SAVE THE DATE!!! Our next big event is April 20th when Harbor WildWatch comes to the museum for another of their great presentations. This year Rachel Easton will teach us about our local Octopus! The presentation starts at 2pm, but there will be activities before and after the event. All adults and children welcome.
