Harbor WildWatch Sharks of Fox Island April 29, 2023 1:30-3:00 in the Museum Barn

Please plan to join us as once again our friends at Harbor WildWatch will be presenting a program on sharks that is sure to please both adults and children alike with facts about sharks in Puget Sound.

The Sharks of the Fox Island presentation will focus on the unique and interesting species of sharks that inhabit the Salish Sea. From the 2 foot long tiny brown cat shark to the 30 foot basking shark, there are 14 species that can be found around Washington. Come (and carefully) touch some shark jaws while
you learn how important sharks are to our local ecosystem, threats to sharksworldwide, the latest research, and ways we can help. These importantpredators need our protection now more than ever.

This will be a 45 minute presentation with time for questions. Perfect for all ages.

Children will also have an opportunity to participate in a special art activity led by our museum volunteers.

Children (and adults too!) can also have their picture taken with SHARKY, the museum’s 8 foot representation of a 6 gill shark. We look forward to seeing you at this fun event.
