It’s that time again! The Fox Island Sand & Soil Garden Club’s annual Plant Sale is Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Fox Island Historical Museum. An outdoor in-person sale, payment is by cash or check only day of the sale. Club members offer hundreds of quality plants of all kinds from their own gardens — at great prices: $5.00/gallon; veggie starts are $1.00. The ever-popular yard art is back at value prices to motivate your creativity. This event is popular, so come early!

The 2023 Fox Island Garage Sale

It’s time for the 2023 Fox Island Garage Sale!

9AM-3PM this Saturday, September 9th at the Fox Island Museum, 1017 9th Avenue, and at Home Sites throughout Fox Island.

Maps and Hot Dogs at the Museum

We will be selling our delicious hot dogs at the Museum from 11am to 2pm. Be sure to come by and check out the Garage Sale items and get a quick bite to eat. Printed maps to the Garage Sale Home sites will be also available for purchase ($1.00 each) at the Museum at 9:00am on Saturday morning.

The 2023 Fox Island Garage Sale Information and Application

It’s time for the 2023 Fox Island Garage Sale!

…to be held Saturday, September 09, 9am-3pm at the Fox Island Museum, 1017 9th Avenue, Fox Island and various Home Sites throughout Fox Island.

Interested in Applying for a Spot as a Seller?

Starting August 12th you can go here for an online Application Form, Payment ($25 at museum, $10 at home site) and general instructions. Please note, there are a limited number of museum spaces and the online application form will not provide this option when those spaces are filled. Application deadline is September 2, 2023 for online applications. You will receive a confirmation if your application is accepted.

If you choose not to apply and pay online, we will be accepting applications at the FICRA Fair on August 12th. We will also be accepting applications at the Museum between 1-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, August 12-13, August 19-20 and August 27-28. We will accept payment by cash, check or credit card. Mailed applications and checks must be received by September 2nd and addressed to Fox Island Historical Society or FIHS, PO Box 242, Fox Island WA 98333. If you request a Museum Site and there are no spaces available when we receive your form, your application and check will be returned. Please be sure to complete the phone number on your application in order to receive a confirmation.

We will post a map online of the various home site locations here on Saturday morning, September 09 by 8am. Printed maps will be also be available for $1.00 at the Museum on Saturday, September 09 . We will also be selling our delicious hot dogs at the Museum from 11am to 2pm.

History On Wheels

2023 Car Show At the Fox Island Museum

This event will be held on FICRA Fair Day, Saturday August 12th, in the Fox Island Museum parking lot between 11:00am and 4:00pm.

Attention all Roadies, Gearheads, Cruisers, and Pedal Pushers! If you own a bit of history that you would like to share at our August Car Show, this is for you. This is an opportunity to share your special project, classic car, or bucket of bolts to show off what you’ve done, or ask other collectors restoration questions.
This is a non-competitive gathering of “shade-tree mechanics” to share with other car buffs in an informal setting. All types of vehicles are welcome, RSVP is requested to 253-820-0334

The Fox Island Sand & Soil Garden Club’s annual Plant Sale is Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The venue is the Fox Island Historical Museum. This is an outdoor in-person sale, and payment is by cash or check only the day of the sale. Club members offer over 400 quality plants from their own gardens. From Aucuba to Yucca, and many natives, gallon plants start at $5.00. Smaller veggie starts are only $3.00. In addition, members are selling unusual yard art at value prices. This event is popular, so come early!


Vintage Book Sale

Saturday, May 6th & Sunday, May 7th 1-4pm in the Museum Barn

Please join us for our 2 day Vintage Book Sale in the Museum Barn. There will be lots of classics, some rare, some over 100 years old, and lots of children’s books. Bring one book to receive an estimate of the book’s worth.

Attention Students, Families and Friends of 2023 Fox Island High School Graduates

This year there will be two $1000 Dr. George A. Weis Memorial Scholarships. The Fox Island Chapel Preservation Society (Chapel on Echo Bay) has generously donated $1000 to the Fox Island Historical Society Museum for this additional scholarship award. These scholarships will recognize two well-qualified high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2023 to help finance a post-high school education beginning in the fall of 2023.  These seniors must be residents of Fox Island at the time of high school graduation. All rules, deadlines, and applications will be the same for both scholarships.
